Burnham MPO-IQ Oil Boiler “Lunch and Learn”
Burnham is proud to introduce the MPO-IQ high efficiency oil-fired boiler. Learn about the IQ boiler control system which is loaded with capabilities that can help improve heating system efficiencies and performance while saving the installer time on the jobsite. The IQ Option Panel accepts IQ cards “plug ‘n play” the simplest way to add safety limits and system efficiency such as low water cutoffs, auxiliary high limits and outdoor reset.

Triangle Tube Certification “ROAD TRIP”
Attend this two day training to learn the latest techniques to install Prestige boilers and SMART indirect fired domestic water heaters. Experienced trainers provide solutions to real-world application challenges with a combination of classroom and hands-on boiler time. Training overviews condensing boiler technology, venting, piping/pumping, controls, service, ”hands on” training with working boilers, and a factory tour. This is not a sales presentation! Upon Successful completion of the training you will be registered as a Certified Installer and be eligible to provide no-charge 2 year warranties on each Prestige boiler you install for a period of 2 years. There is a fee of $199.00 for all meals and hotel.

This three-day course is designed to offer attendees a greater understanding of PEX-based systems for commercial plumbing, residential fire safety and hydronic radiant heating. This course will go over:

* The art of combining geothermal and radiant systems

The Munchkin-Elite Overview And Service/Cleaning Class
Learn all about the Elite boiler the next generation in heating. Floor or wall mount, longer vent runs, increased turndown at 6 to 1, 6 models with a maximum input ranging from 80,000 btu to 399,000 btu. We will learn how to clean and maintain the Munchkin and Elite boilers to help make you not just an installing contractor but a contractor with the ability to service the equipment he installs.

Buderus Condensing oil boiler G125BE Certification Class
This class will be conducted at AKR Associates and the contractor will become a certified installer. The G125BE boiler has achieved 90% efficiency which qualifies for the $1500 federal tax credit. This one-day seminar will focus on the G125BE with Low NOx Burner, its installation, and troubleshooting. All of this information will be presented in a one-day format. Product Review Installation Service & Hands on Troubleshooting. There is a $25 fee for this Certification class. Call Pam to register 860-882-0213

STATION TRAINING WITH HEAT TRANSFER & EMERSON SWAN
A dynamic and informative event designed to give you, the installing contractor, all of the necessary “tools” to install and service Munchkin equipment. See the new Elite Boiler, a bold new appearance designed to offer our customers significant improvements in performance. Each of the following topics will be covered in 30 minute hands-on station presentations:
There is a cost with the class $40 per person which will include dinner and a Heat Transfer service tool kit.

APRIL 22nd - 5:30 to 8:00 dinner will be served, held in the training room @ Shelton Winnelson
GAS PIPE SIZING CLASS/WARDFLEX CERTIFICATION
Class participants will learn how to size gas pipe and go over different sizing exercises with black pipe and flexible piping. When you leave this class you will be able to size up gas pipe jobs on your own. Also we will conduct a Wardflex certification class at the end for anyone that is not certified.

APRIL 27th - 5:30 to 8:00 dinner will be served, held in the training room @ Shelton Winnelson
AQUAPEX CERTIFICATION CLASS
The class to learn about working with Uponor pex, the different ways to install pex, and the difference between crimp and Propex fitting systems. We will be giving out certifications @ the end of the class to give you a 25 year warranty on both the pipe and the fitting. Also anyone attending the class will be able to buy tools at a special discount.

MAY 13th - 5:30 to 8:00 dinner will be served, held in the training room @ Shelton Winnelson
THE GLYCOL MYSTERY CLASS
We will be going over all the do’s and don’ts of Ethylene and Propylene Glycol in hydronic systems today. Learn the:

right percentages to use,
problem with PH,
how to maintain the systems,
how to use a Refractometer,
solutions to prevent corrosion problems,
right glycol that needs to be used in aluminum, stainless and cast-iron.
